Antique Coin Watch Chain
I happened upon this piece and found it interesting. American coinage in the 19th century was not mandated and designs were commonly used on non-coinage. This watch chain appears made with the same Liberty head found on coins of the time, but the date appears on the reverse and not the front and the number 1 appears but no text of what amount it is worth. 
Regardless this chain, in its great condition would be a terrific addition to any collector or interpreter as a conversation piece.
